yesterday morning we were on area wide torndao warnings , including the central valley of ca and from the ca coast range. a ef1 tornado touched down in the unincorperated area of milton ca.
i ran into a publication years ago whilst taking geology put out by the old ca division of mines . in the pub it said that ca gets 200 f1 f3 cold front tornados a year and usually in the central valley.
