I've lived here in Columbia, Missouri, since 1971, but I still visit Selma every two or three years on average. I was in that pictured Selma Country Club building in June, 2018, when I was there for my 50th high school reunion. I was in the ninth grade in Albert G. Parrish High School (the white high school) in March, 1965, when the Selma to Montgomery march happened. That high school was desegregated in 1970 and renamed Selma High School (what an original name), two years after my graduating class.
