On so many levels

My best friend, who passed away in Oct. was a hobby/professional photographer and took beautiful photos of flowers in bloom. Her interest spanned decades. She used to get the photos developed, and after digital, had them printed out. I borrowed a couple album after she passed, and shared them with my daughters, who each took a few for keepsakes. That was before Christmas, and we have all been getting on with things.

I picked my grandkids up today from school. When I dropped them off at home, my granddaughter said she had something for me. She gave me a beautiful pointillist style painting of a flower. She told me she took one of my friend's photos and used it as the model. I just love it, and it means so much that she picked one of my friend's pictures and created such a lovely picture. I'll treasure it always.

It is heartening that my friend was loved and won't be forgotten.

I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. What a sweet and loving gesture by your granddaughter to make a painting from one of your friend's pictures. I know you will keep that memory close to your heart forever.
