but thought you weren't supposed to boil the miso (just the stock with whatever other ingredients and then add the miso at the end after turning off the heat).

I think there are beneficial probiotics that would basically be killed if it was boiled!

I have my little double whisk (for either 1 or 2 tbsp of miso) and swirl the amount being used into dashi after everything is cooked!
