The cleanliness of the trains is also a marvel if you've been to other places like NYC, Chicago (the El) or DC and ridden in their submays and mass transit trains. Paris had some very dirty cars when I was last there as well, but not one of them was as clean or nice as those shown here.

And the views out the windows? Amazing!

who now lives in Japan and they were totally impressed with the train system. They can't wait to go for another visit.
