Women's March in DC.

I want to March but am not really able to travel. I got permission from my city of Cottonwood to march around old town by the city offices and parks. Going to try to last two hours. I'm on my own. Probably almost everyone here voted for trump. I have a hoodie and am making a sign. The city people and others who know all think I'm crazy. This is short diary, but just want to show solidarity with my sisters .

1. Good for you! Anyone who can't make it to an organized march should do the same!

I told my husband that we all will need to get out of our comfort zones over the next 4 years to deal with the incoming regime. I'm dragging him and our son to the march in DC. Our daughter is going voluntarily, as well as a bunch of her friends.

I hope we have a witch of a storm on the 20th, and beautiful weather on the 21st

on DU. Maybe there are other DUers who live in the area.

Also, what woodsprite said.

My small town is holding one and I marched against the war there back in 2003, was surprised at the large number who turned out. Here's a link to the places that are holding organized marches in case you haven't seen it. And I agree, you might be surprised at the number of like minded women who would like to join you. Just do what you can and know that there are thousands of us who feel the same way and are with you in spirit. Welcome to DU!
