Can somebody help me with images?

This might be totally a function of my laptop, but in case it's not: When I copy an image, I am unable to paste it into my post to DU. The "copy" seems to work fine, but the "paste" in the edit box remains light, not in as dark print as the other functions. I have tried limiting my image searches to copyright free and free to reuse, but no luck. I have tried c/p to a Word document, but they won't paste there either. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you are trying to post an image from another Website onto DU, then you will need to use the "Copy Image Location" which will take the URL of the image and paste it into DU. The image must have a .jpg, .jpeg or .png extension. If there is no extension at the end of the image then you can manually type ",jpg" and it will sometimes work, but it's 50-50 regarding that.

You also cannot paste an image from your hard drive. You will need to use an image sharing site such as Photobucket to upload the image and then copy it over to DU. The same guidance regarding the .jpg, .jpeg or .png extensions applies.

Also, welcome to DU.

I use the Windows 'snipping tool' and copy most any picture to my desktop.
