Link to tweet

I browse DU almost exclusively on my Android phone, using Chrome. Until the last few days, when someone inserted a link to a tweet, it would briefly display "Link to tweet", then the actual tweet would display without me needing to click on it. Now, it just perpetually says "Link to tweet" and never automatically displays. I've not changed any settings on Chrome. Has something changed on DU?

1. not sure but i had the same problem for a long time

some pictures or tweets would not display on my cell phone whereas they do when i log in from my desktop computer.

Regarding the tweet, i think (not 100 % sure) that you have to be logged in on twitter on your cellphone for it to open automatically.

3. I have never logged in to twitter.

I don't have a twitter account, have never run the Twitter app on my phone, and have declined all updates to the app since I've had the phone (2016). So I don't think that's it, unless it's a new requirement from Twitter.

Don't know if its just here, or a problem with twitter, android, or my kindle tablet.

4. I only browse DU from my laptop...

...and just noticed this morning that the automatic Twitter display is no longer working. To echo the original question, has something changed on DU concerning "link to tweet"?

5. Try this...

...go to your Chrome settings (advanced) and toggle the "Do Not Track" button "on" and "off" (or "off" and "on", depending on your preference). I don't know why but it worked for me and now the tweets are showing automatically again.
