I was accused of just being here to "stir shit" because I have a low post count. I alerted on the message, but haven't heard anything back at all.
I don't know if I alerted improperly...but nothing has happened to the post.
What's up with that?

(38,958 posts)I have been accused of all sorts of things. Seems some folks really like to either put words in another's mouth or believe they have some ability to read minds.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and most of what you see here is just that, Opinion which is all well and good as long as we are civil to one another. Those who I believe to be less than civil are on my ignore list and it really does improve the experience on the board from what I have found.

(4,441 posts)it looks like I am not the only one on here that this has happened to...
I'm not sure if that is good or bad honestly.

(38,958 posts)Myself. Could be that it is in the works or being processed. Perhaps it was ignored, perhaps not. I really dont have any answers on that. I have seen lower post count posters picked on from time to time and do what I can to help when I can. As mentioned I wouldnt worry much about it one way or the other.

(10,136 posts)It went to a jury, the jury voted.
If the jury agrees with the alert, the post is "hidden".
If the jury disagrees with the alert, the post will remain.
Either way, the person sending the alert gets no feedback on the alert process, by design.

(4,441 posts)In fact, you were indeed notified. Either way.

(10,136 posts)The admins removed the notifications due to the drama they were causing at times.
This change was done at least a year ago.

(221,922 posts)Apparently, people were alerting on personal attacks contained in jury results and it got to be too much, so the entire process is now anonymous and you never know the results unless you're able to look for them. I admit to not being a fan, either, and I'm also disappointed when I see something fairly innocuous get "hidden" while something really nasty remains. Unfortunately, it's the luck of the draw.
