Not sure if this is the right place to ask but are there wireless chargers for tablets?

I have a Samsung TabA with a screwed up charger port (where you plug the cord into the tablet). I took it to a local place for a repair but the place said something about soldering, and they didn't think they were capable of making the repair. I could take it to Best Buy and see if their repair people can fix it, but I don't want to pay more for repairs than buying a replacement. Then someone mentioned getting a wireless charger. I checked at Best Buy but the guy said there is no such thing.

Is this true??

2. Yea, if anything needs to be plugged into the the tablet, it's a no-go. But thanks.

There is another place, right across the street, I am going to try. And, I guess I could just get an estimate from Best Buy.

I've seen videos of how to do the whole process, but it involved welding, and I don't have either the skills or the tools necessary.

4. No it doesn't need to be plugged into the tablet

the tablet lies flat on top of the charger, which is plugged into your computer or a wall outlet via USB adapter

As you can tell, my technical language skills, in this area, are pretty dismal. Maybe my brain was defeating me. I'll watch it, again!

8. That should plug into the charger itself

and the other end should be a standard USB connection. I use them for my iPhone both at home and at work and I have bought the generic ones on Amazon

but a USB port either on a computer or an adapter that will plug into the wall.

7. I was just STUPID, one night. Way too tired to function, and tried to plug in the wrong cord

Totally screwed it up. I'm still kicking myself for not paying closer attention.

I wish all of these cords were just UNIVERSAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. there is a cold solder method available

check with best buy for that fix

i actually salvaged a desktop hard drive using cold solder fix
long enough to save the data
to a new hard drive

I did really like that tablet.

I 'inherited' my late sister's old iPad. I went to charge it, one day, and NADA. I took it to Apple and they pretty much told me they can't be bothered fixing older devices. So I kind of put it aside. I'm not that impressed with Apple products to spend that kind of money on a replacement. Which is why I bought the Samsung.

Then I checked with local place and they said they fix these older iPads, all the time, and it most likely just needed a new battery. Since they have a free estimate, I'm going to drop it off. Heck, if they find they can't fix it, I'm not out any $$.
