Spinning circles and odd frames

Appearing on my phone browser in the last day or two on DU, no other websites. Makes it annoying for sure.

The circle indicates that an ad is going to load into that space, as opposed to just popping in. Does an ad actually load or does the circle just spin indefinitely?

But I'm pretty sure my browser has an ad block function, that would explain it. I've only been on DU for 7 months but I've never seen this before.

very weird, have only noticed it on my phone thus far. I wonder if admin knows about this.
