or possibly a setting within his own email server. For example, I have an old AOL email account I still use for some purposes, but I access it through Microsoft Outlook and I have Norton Security on my devices. All three have email protection settings that are exerted. If I go to AOL directly to pick up those emails and they are not caught up in a spam filter, they show up completely with all images. If I pick them up through Outlook, the current settings show links, but not most images for a lot of emails so I have to hit the "view through browser" to see full content. And, if Norton is set to be overly protective, some emails may come through "blank." Yet my outlook.com emails (rather than AOL) come through without issues. So, I've had to adjust all of these.

So, you may have to troubleshoot all of these.
