What are DU rules if hypothetically someone wins a primary that is too extreme?

DU rules state to support Democrats and never bash them, but what if someone extreme wins a Democratic primary somewhere? What is and isn't allowed? Do the same rules still apply? Are they loosened a little? Or should we just not talk about him or her if we have nothing nice to say?

You can disagree with them on policy ACA or Single payer for example. But to question their motives w/o facts to back them up is a no no

Don't bash Democratic public figures
Do not post disrespectful nicknames, insults, or highly inflammatory attacks against any Democratic public figures. Do not post anything that could be construed as bashing, trashing, undermining, or depressing turnout for any Democratic general election candidate, and do not compare any Democratic general election candidate unfavorably to their general election opponent(s).
Why we have this rule: Our forum members support and admire a wide variety of Democratic politicians and public figures. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but our members don't expect to see Democrats viciously denigrated on this website. This rule also applies to Independents who align themselves with Democrats (eg: Bernie Sanders).

If hypothetically Cynthia McKinney (extreme left, 9/11 Truther) ran for Congress again, they still apply 100%?

5. Since there aren't gradations given in the rule I'd infer the prohibition would stand against

bashing her, especially since the rule extends to independents. It’d ultimately be for a jury to decide.

7. I've seen a lot of Bernie bashing here. I always assumed that it was allowed,

since it seemed so widespread and I never saw any of the posts removed, but this would seem to indicate that it's not. Am I reading this right?

16. But Manchin and Sinema are often working against Democratic ideals,

while Bernie is working for them.

I worked hard to get Sinema elected, as did many others; and, to a person, everyone I know who voted for her feels betrayed.

Trump and his ilk. If this OP is referring to the candidate I think, then EarlG may have to clarify in the near future. Because that candidate is very likely to be the opposite if they end up elected to Congress. Somehow I doubt the intent was ever to require vocal support of someone overtly trying to sabotage the party and its objectives thereby allowing our RW opponents to prevail--in the name of some long-term aim to promote a third party.

3. Depends. Doubt anyone was dinged for bashing David Duke when he ran as "Dem."

Tulsi Gabbard comes to mind, as well.

12. I would suggest following the old advice of "if you have nothing nice to say....."

Say nothing.

On an employee Facebook page I ran during my time working I would often criticize my employer by simply not saying anything about what they were doing, but would often mention progressive policies or innovative ideas that competitors or others in the business sector were adopting. All posted without comment. People can and will draw their own conclusions, I just provided the additional information when I came across it.

no bashing dems except the ones i, the juror, dont like either.
in which case, i will vote to let it stand.

as long as it's factual, and you dont get into personal attacks, you'll likely be fine.
bashing =/= telling the truth.
