(11,393 posts)I have/had Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo also called BPPV
The exercise is called the half summersault maneuver. YouTube has a lot of videos on it. It is more likely to occur if you're older and less active.
I found that when I move less often..... usually due to tiredness from allergies or overwork, I am more likely to get it. I just do the exercise 2 to 4 times throughout the day and it stops it in it's tracks.
But you should get a doctor to diagnose it.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

(25,191 posts)how glad I am that I bought an oxygen sensor. I know it doesn't guarantee I don't have Covid but it guarantees that I have oxygen going to my body. They are cheap to buy, 4 or 5 bucks.

(7,080 posts)for vertigo. There are numerous videos out there and you don't have to go to the doc. It was a Dr. Epley that developed this very helpful DIY. I have been doing it for years when I have vertigo from time to time. Hoping you feel yourself SOON.

(62,231 posts)Benign Paroxyzmal Positional Vertigo can be stressed induced, too. I've had it several times, always during an especially stressful event. The Epley manuever worked great for me.
