I post a bit in the Learning Dutch subreddit and a little in linguistics humor. People in those subreddits are very kind.

Select the areas which interest you to be shown upon logging into the site.
Check them out for awhile before posting to get the flavor of the postings.

I still read areas I'm interested in and if I do have a good answer or advice (imo) I will post it but only for a short time, maybe a couple of hours or so, then I delete my post...My thought is that it gives the poster time to see my response but I don't get the ridiculous downvotes, I hate that system, I don't accumulate points or whatever but I don't care...
