(11,686 posts)As I am, I can no longer handle this heat.
Some days I will get very dizzy and stumble as I try to walk across a room.

(2,847 posts)My perfect place. Would be high of 75 everyday, low 50. And rain on Tuesday and Thursday to keep the world alive.
No, I havent found that place yet.

It's got pretty nice weather year round.

(28,833 posts)Several months per year, average highs are in the mid 80s; average lows in the 70s.
November to May would be closer, 70s/60s for highs and lows.
San Diego would be pretty close, year-round.

(28,833 posts)Average highs range from 65-75 and lows from 50-65 or so.
Down side is that it's really expensive to live there. And the traffic.

(603 posts)I have anhyidrosis and this makes life miserable for me. I am always hot and get miserable even at 70 degrees and don't even talk about humidity. Only advantage is I have never had clothes or sheets soaked with sweat because I don't. Only a part of my hands and small patches on face.

(59,587 posts)Yes, there is such a thing.
Do your insides begin to vibrate when you start getting overheated?
Same here. Yup, people think I'm crazy.
I've talked to numerous docs about this & none of them.had a clue. Makes me wonder if I had heat exhaustion or heat stroke as a kid & nobody mentioned it.
I'm not diabetic either.

(27,835 posts)And I hate the summer full stop.
I start having anxiety attacks when the clocks go ahead, knowing what's coming.
I sympathize with people who dread the onset of winter. I know they suffer the same anxieties that I do - just at a different time of year, and for different reasons.
I love the cold, the snow, the days that grow dark early in the evening. Unfortunately, few people sympathize with me - they think I'm a freak of nature.
I spend my summers counting down the days until the fall, anxiously awaiting that first breath of chilly air that reminds me that winter is on its way.

(1,922 posts)I break out in a poison ivy type rash. Started in my 20's..There is now more clothing and sun screens available, but it means being covered head to toe. I also get very ill in the heat. It is real, and I understand.

(24,147 posts)I can sympathize. Four years ago I had 2 head traumas within 6 weeks, and I could no longer stand sunlight. It made me dizzy and sick and gave me terrible headaches. After months of dr. visits and an MRI, a neurologist finally diagnosed me as having broken the nerves on both sides of my head. I think it was the Alimentary nerves, but not sure I'm remembering the name right. They also found that 2 discs in my neck herniated and were impinging on my cervical cord by 30% and I could die or be permanently paralyzed below my neck if I didn't get tis fixed immediately. Just saying, sometimes it benefits you to keep on pushing to find out what's wrong. It took me 5 months of continually calling my dr's, telling them something was wrong, before I found out this dire information.
I had the surgery, disectomy at 2 levels with fusion and 3 years later my nerves finally have healed and I can go outside in the FL sunshine (super hot in the summer) and be ok. I can even work in my yard again without throwing up or falling down from dizziness. YAY!
