DU Community Help
Related: About this forumWhen you edit a post, it is notated at the bottom of your post.
Are those notations visible to anyone who reads you post?

Here is a clip of a post I just edited. There is a notification at the top of my post, and then at the bottom under all the replies it lists the various edits.

(25,672 posts)I was just curious. Like "Cracklin Charlie" mentioned in his reply, I really don't think I remember see Edit notations in other DUers' posts. So the notation probably is only visible to the original poster, unless someone clicks on the Rec'd button.
Thanks for the info.

(28,833 posts)As for the edit notification (the red text) that you mentioned in your response, I think it only shows that if the edits are made after a certain amount of time, though I am not 100% certain.
For example, I edited this post twice in a short period of time. The notifications show, but not the red edit text, at least on my end.

(221,925 posts)If you edit a post within a few minutes, like to fix a typo, that won't show up on the post.
