When you edit a post, it is notated at the bottom of your post.

Are those notations visible to anyone who reads you post?

3. OK, now I'm confused. I purposedly edited this post to show what I was referring to.

So why doesn't the Edit notification appear.

Here is a clip of a post I just edited. There is a notification at the top of my post, and then at the bottom under all the replies it lists the various edits.

2. I don't know. I've never seen it on anyone's post.

But sometimes I like to put funny explanations in, in case the admins can see it.

Like…”I can’t spell”, or “I really suck at punctuation”.

I was just curious. Like "Cracklin Charlie" mentioned in his reply, I really don't think I remember see Edit notations in other DUers' posts. So the notation probably is only visible to the original poster, unless someone clicks on the Rec'd button.

5. Yes.

As for the edit notification (the red text) that you mentioned in your response, I think it only shows that if the edits are made after a certain amount of time, though I am not 100% certain.

For example, I edited this post twice in a short period of time. The notifications show, but not the red edit text, at least on my end.

9. I think it's 30 minutes.

If you edit a post within a few minutes, like to fix a typo, that won't show up on the post.
