If you create an image and upload it to a site like https://www.imgur.com or https://postimages.org, you can then paste the hyperlink to the image in your DU post, and it will display as a normal image.

Since the link in the post will be to a random image hosting site instead of to your store, that would likely avoid your crawler issue. But you should also avoid even writing the name of the store into your post, since that might then turn up in search results.

Bottom line -- if you're legitimately worried that associating your store with politics is going to cost you business, you might want to completely avoid posting about it on DU. Even if search engine crawlers have a hard time finding it, these things have a way of being discovered and passed around.
