Latest Breaking News forum issue

Is anyone else having trouble seeing past the “author” column on the LBN forum? I can maybe see one or two letters in to the start time column but I cannot seem to resize the page or scroll to the right to see the start or last reply times.

1. Don't know if this will help, but you can enlarge your viewing area by holding down the Ctrl key...

... while pushing the + sign. You can push the plus sign several times until you get the desired size. You can make the area smaller by holding Ctrl while pushing the - sign to make the viewing area smaller.

2. I can see the entire page without anything cut off.

It seems like you may have zoomed in too much. Try holding the CTRL key and the minus sign key which should reduce how much you are zoomed into the page. You'll likely need to repeat the step to fit the entire contents of the page.

3. Ok, I admit to being clueless

All the other forums are fine and I’m on my iPad so I don’t know how to “zoom” and “un zoom” except for using the “pinch” and ummm….whatever the opposite of “pinch” is 🤣

Any hand holding directions would be greatly appreciated. I’m sure there is some incredibly dense obvious reason for this that I’m totally missing. I’m going to try the force quit and restart thing in the mean time.

Edited to add: ok, this is really weird. The force quit did nothing, but when I go to page 2 of LBN the formatting is fine…it’s just page 1 that I have the problem.

And beyond? Those are fine on my iPad, it’s only page 1 that I’m having an issue with, and only LBN. It’s the strangest thing. I wonder if it has to do with the last update of iOS

I cannot remember when I last updated and whether this is when it changed. My current OS is
16.5.1

11. I have the same version OS

I’m pretty sure I updated it within one day of when it was released and that was apparently June 21. I can’t say for certain when the issue with LBN started for me but I really can’t imagine it’s been going on that long - I guess I’m just trying to think of some reason that could account for this issue popping up

12. I said that I don't see it on my iMac but another difference is iPad is Safari

while the desktop is Firefox. Could be the difference in the browsers

13. This should be fixed now

Someone posted an LBN story using the link to the article as the title by accident. Since links have no spaces in them, the title did not break across lines and pushed all the content of the page far out to the right hand side. That's why you were only experiencing the issue on page 1, and not on subsequent pages.

I removed the thread entirely so hopefully that will have fixed the issue for you.
