x.com inks do not display in DU, you need to click on them and use the twitter.com ones

The DU software does not auto imbed tweets from the x.con domain, unlike tweets from the twitter.com domain, which it does

also, please URL trim the '?' and everything after it (that is not just for twitter links)

example

?s=20

will not display on DU

but if you click on it it yields a link that will display on DU

(snapshot)

(and ?s=20 should be trimmed off or else it displays)

here is what that yields

You do not read any newspapers or major magazines (other than a physical copy, if you subsribe)?

You also must not shop online, nor basically use it for much at all.

I ask because you said:

I never click open any link

You certainly do click on the DU link, which is necessay to get to the board.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding you.

Guess I should have said that I never click on a Twitter link posted here. Actually I never click on a link here that is in a post. I rely on a synopsis of the content posted and can research it myself if I want to know more. Not all links are safe and sound and when you have a bad experience it teaches you a lesson. No offense meant to anyone who posts a link. Just my quirky take on them

forces people to click on it IF they want to see the tweet.

If people simply post a regular twitter.com link (as explained in my OP) then there is no need to click on a link to see the tweet passively (ie no clicking involved).

cheers!
