Whenever I’m on a jury and I reach the confused impasse you describe, I usually vote to leave the post. This is supposed to be a forum for open ideas so I try to act accordingly.

If you accept being on a jury you can exit at anytime.

Please see the below link for more details about the jury process at DU.

https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=modsystem

The way I get to that link is by going to my My Profile
Clicking the explain at the end of Chance of serving on Juries: 100% (explain)
Then clicking Detailed explanation

Scroll down a bit for the section on juries.

Hopefully this will explain it all. If not ask.

I have been asked, but I felt that I was too new to make decisions that would affect my fellow DUers. I have been put on Ignore by someone here so I ignored them back to make sure I didn't bump heads with them in the future.

Anyway... if I'm asked again, I won't be so timid about accepting.

Thank you all! This HELP option really "helps". Good to know.

you meet the standards they set to be qualified. I'll add that your service is completely confidential. The poster you are judging will not know who you are, nor will the other jurors.

I really trust the people I've interacted with here and listen to the advice they share.
