DU Community Help
Related: About this forumIs anyone else having an issue
with receiving Democratic Underground's website via Google Chrome as your search engine?
Mine will not load correctly, and it was the same saved address and even when I google and get D.U. it still won't load correctly, this has been the case at least for the past week.
I'm using MSN just to get it now.

(17,005 posts)MSN has a search function. I tried typing in democratic underground and it filled in matthew perry funeral for me, so the heck with that.
I simply bookmark https://democraticunderground.com or the “latest” page and I’m done with it. It’s my first bookmark in all my browsers.
If you know how to set a bookmark or a home page, please do so, or learn to. In every browser I have used, control-D or command-D will do it once you are on the page you want.
Good luck and save yourself some trouble by taking the nonstop route to DU.
Even if I misunderstood you, DU comes up with three browsers I use (safari, firefox, opera) and I bookmark it in all three. Hope this helps.

(61,368 posts)but never had this issue.
The star was lit up at the top of my computer as a favorite, I just clicked on that saved link before and was in with no problem.
Google Chrome was the home page browser.
It may just be my computer settings?

(17,005 posts)The admins changed the DU home page from DU3 to DU4, but that should be invisible to people unless something was cached in your browser. The usual advice in these situations is to clear browser cache and cookies (you’ll have to log in again), however Chrome lets you do that.
Like the old “reboot”, clearing browser cache, history, cookies, seems to cure problems.
I hope it works for you.

(18,535 posts)Can you force a refresh?
Hold the ctrl button down and click the refresh.
It may be possible to do it by ctrl F5 as well.
Your computer then should completely reload DU
