(5,896 posts)The photo must be in your photo library
Go to imgBB.com
Click on upload
Imgbb will ask where from
Choose photo library
Your photos will appear
Click the one you want, then click Add
You will be directed back to imgBB and the
photo will show
Click on upload
Choose Direct Link
Then choose copy
Go back to DU where you want to post the
photo and click paste.
Click on Preview, you should be able to see
the photo
Then post
Some times the photo wont show, but only the link. A lot of DUers are hesitant to click links. I have not figured out why only the link sometimes posts. It may have to do with the original source if copied from the internet.
Practice. If I can figure it out, you will to . Hope this helps

(2,405 posts)Does it mean, somewhere on the hard drive of the computer you're on? I have lots of pictures on my computer's hard drive, most of them in the "Downloads" folder. Lots more on other external hard drives, too, thumb drives and backup drives. Thanks for the heads-up. Lots of times I've wanted to do this and didn't have any idea how.

Alternatively, you can choose Take Photo instead of Library, then take the photo. But I have never done that

(7,121 posts)This is my go-to image sharing site, I find it easy to use and reliable.
Two things...
When you upload a pic it gives you a link to a page with the image on it, not a direct link to the image file. What I do is either select that URL and "Open Link in New Tab," then right-click and "Copy Image Link, or I hit the drop-down menu above the provided URL and select Full Linked HTML code and select the image path from within the HTML code. I know it's extra steps, I wish imgbb would just provide the full path upon upload, but the solution is simple.
Also, what I find very useful and convenient, is that if you click on the "Upload" link at the top of the page, next to "Sign In", instead of hitting the "Upload" button in the middle of the page, you have the option to "add image URLs." This is great for online images that use special characters or have paths or incompatible file types (like .webp, etc.) that are not rendered by DU, like images from Reddit for example. Just paste in the URL to an image, and imgbb will host it without any fuss.
Happy posting!
