Call your senators, oppose concealed carry reciprocity:
The NRA’s cronies in Congress just introduced an extremely dangerous bill that would completely gut your state’s gun laws. They’re calling it “concealed carry reciprocity” to make it sound harmless. This bill would force your state to allow dangerous people from every other state to carry hidden, loaded guns on your streets — convicted stalkers, domestic abusers, people with no training, even the legally blind. This bill is the NRA’s number-one priority, so we need your help to send an overwhelming message of opposition to Congress.
Be SMART for kids:
When children get a hold of unsecured guns, the results can be tragic. Every 36 hours, a child unintentionally fires a gun and kills or injures himself or someone else. And that doesn’t include the number of suicides–and even some homicides–that occur when kids have access to unsecured guns. The Be SMART campaign asks parents and all responsible adults to prevent these tragedies by following five simple steps: Secure guns in homes and vehicles; Model responsible behavior around guns; Ask about the presence of guns in other homes; Recognize the risks of teen suicide; and Tell your peers to Be SMART. Since 2015, Moms Demand Action volunteers have spreading the message about responsible storage in their communities.
The NRA spent 30 million dollars to elect Donald Trump and they will expect to get what they paid for. It’s up to us to stand between the president and the NRA’s vision of more guns for more people. That’s why we need your help to make sure we’re ready to fight back.
