Comin For Your Guns
REC and make suggestions about what we need to get rid of! Instead of being on the defense with these gun-nutters, we need to go on the offense.

(3,515 posts)gun massacres such as Las Vegas, Sandy Hook, Parkland, and on and on, ad nauseum.
The gun ban will be scientifically determined.
It will save many, many lives.
We need to focus on the lives that will be saved and mourn openly and now the many, many lives lost.
How many gun deaths have we seen altogether in the US over the last ten, 15, 20, 100 years?
How many per year?
Is the number increasing?
What guns were involved?
What gun technology was involved?
Scientific studies will determine which guns, which arms and what technology is to be banned.

What should be banned?

(3,515 posts)Scientists, experts, will look at the history of gun massacres, identify guns and technologies involved, and ban those that pose great threats.
We won't have much at all to do with it. And certainly the gun fanatics won't be able to limit what science tells us.

(2,717 posts)petition bloomburg & others to create documentaries for tv explaining the true intent & original meaning of the 2nd amendment.
The nra does this propaganda wise, which bashes gun control efforts as stripping people of gun rights. It's the best way for them, to distort the truth with lies & cons.
A weekly tv show would go a long way to a better understanding of the history of 'have arms' decrees, & the development of the 2nd amendment, as a militia based rkba (right keep bear arms), not an individual.
I've been suggesting this to erstwhile MAIG & other current gun control groups for going on 10 years now, so I won't hold my breath.

(31,182 posts)That means banning pistols with a magazine in the handle. That will stifle the gungeoneers argument that there is "no definition of an assault rifle".
Any sporting hunter can get a rifle where they hand load several "rounds" into internal storage. After the first shot, they have scared the prey off anyway, so there is no point in "changing magazines". Range shooters: well deal with it.
