How do you get through the bad days?

Are you part of a support group? Do you find therapy helps? Some people clean, work out, read, sleep, all different sorts of things.

I don't have many bad days any more, for many different reasons. I done just about everything to get through one. Lost myself in a book, ate entirely too much, slept through 2 or 3 days, clean my house till you could eat off the floors, you name it I did it. Now, I don't really 'run' from the bad days. I allow myself to think about for a few minutes and then I say, ok that's all you get and move on. It took me years and a lot of support and happy days--that included living life--to get to that point.

It has been a struggle not to let the darkness win. I'm glad I won instead.

How is everyone?

to therapy 2 times a week and a prp(psychiatric rehabilitation program)They have group therapies and whatnot there,3 times a week.I just got out of the psych unit last week, still feel like crap.

Honestly I have no clue how I survive.Maybe it is why I exist as parts, lots of pieces.

I used to shop! Now I cook (after I shop ).
Anything to keep busy so I won't think too much.

Congratulations on winning against the darkness.

Sometimes a bad day just means I really have to lose myself in a good book or movie for awhile. Have some alone time. Sometimes a bad day means I've had too much alone time and I need to be more social. Or go for a hike and work off some tension somewhere beautiful.

But sometimes a bad day is because of a trigger and something I haven't faced or talked out with my husband before. So I pay attention, or try to, and do whatever it is I need to do. It really helps that my husband is a good listener. He's been trying to figure me out for years so he loves it when I tell him something new. Another piece of the puzzle that is me.

Of course, that will annoy me at some point later on. But I wouldn't trade him for anyone on.earth.

and you know the rest , I go for something or place that is the most opposite of those circumstances I can find .For me I go outside and look at trees or listen to birds ---anything to stop the movies of those times .We can do it because we have to do it .
