Valkyrie

I just finished watching the Tom Cruise World War Two movie "Valkyrie" on DVD. I thought that it was pretty good. Anyone else see it? I am going to go read up on some of the actual history.

Tom Cruise gets what Tom Cruise wants. But I would have cast someone else as Claus von Stauffenberg. Clive Owen, Colin Farrell, Colin Firth, anyone but Tom Cruise, who is too much Santa Monica life coach to be believable as a Wehrmacht officer.

Good point about the casting. I was able to suspend disbelief for the duration of the movie, but in retrospect, someone like Clive Owen would have been a better choice for von Stauffenberg.
