-In a humorous way for the male Chicano portion of the Latino community:
And if you STILL after watching this, don't get it, grow a sense of humor, sit down, and think about it until you do.

(138 posts)Parking garage attendant (originally from Mexico, immigrated 35 years ago, naturalized 15 years ago) = voted for Trump because he is furious about Venezuelan immigrants getting free hotel rooms, medical care and schooling under sanctuary city laws
Uber driver (originally from Mauritania) = voted for Trump because he was told that his root canal was going to be $850 and he doesnt qualify for Medicaid due to making $27,000 driving Uber last year while someone who got here 2 weeks ago gets everything covered under Medicaid.
Just two stories from real life in the big city.

(2,011 posts)will affect a vast majority of Latinos, personally, within their immediate family, or their extended family and friends.
They only thing that could keep this from happening is if Trump lied to his white base.
I know a lot of Latinos said of Trump's threats, "he doesn't mean me." Well wait till you see how many people you do know and love that will be swept up.
As a Boomer 3rd generation US citizen whose family is also third, fourth and fifth generation citizens, I certainly know he didn't mean me and my family.
So, when the shit hits the fan and you're all looking for support from us "Liberals" again, my answer will be, "pass the popcorn. because I really don't give a fuck"

(2,040 posts)I live in a very red, rural Virginia county where family farms are the only economy. Every single farm home has at least one Trump sign out front.
Under Trump's Project 2025, the US Dept of Agriculture will be shrunken almost out of existence and USDA programs such as crop insurance, farm price support, conservation land bank payments, and the like will disappear.
A simple google search for "USDA subsidies to (county name) county" shows that every single farm in my county receives anywhere from $200,000 to $20,000 annually in USDA money . . . without which most of them will go bankrupt.
I tried to tell a few of them this, they laughed at me, called me a "lib."
When the "farm auction" signs start popping up, I intend to laugh and point at them every time I see one of them no matter where -- grocery store, hardware store, church . . . and when the farms that were in their families for generations are bought by Delaware-based LLCs that are fronts for China, I will ROTFLMAO.
