This week, Georgia police arrested a 24-year-old woman after she suffered a miscarriage, with the state even performing an autopsy on the 19-week fetus.

The Dobbs ruling is just the first step in a “long-term end game” of granting legal rights to fetuses that allow for these types of prosecutions, warns Greer Donley, an associate law professor.
