(19,135 posts)that she was unqualified and lacked the necessary temperament and judgement for the role. He made a cynical political calculation and went along, since resistance was futile. Well, when the stakes are the type of harm we have seen being done, even futile resistance is mandatory.
That was not "a mistake," it is beyond that. That was not an errant decision, it is a deeply flawed decision making process. It was not merely a bad outcome, but a bad method. Where is the reckoning with that?
