Tehran hit by US-Israeli strikes as Iran warns of retaliation and fears grow of wider attacks - Al Jazeera English



Multiple overnight explosions have struck Tehran as US and Israeli air strikes intensify across Iran.
Heavy bombardment was reported near Mehrabad Airport, with attacks also hitting cities including Shiraz and Isfahan.
There are reports of casualties, with residential areas and civilian infrastructure increasingly affected.

Donald Trump has warned of further strikes, including potential targeting of infrastructure and power plants.
Recent attacks have hit petrochemical sites, as well as hospitals, schools and universities such as Sharif University of Technology.

Israel has issued warnings for civilians to avoid railways, raising fears transport networks may be targeted next.
Iranian officials warn of “devastating” retaliation if attacks continue.
