That is a big difference, and he does not deserve the charity of attributing his actions to ignorance when malice is in play.

Yesterday

He needed to win the last election to stay out of jail. But now that he is safely in office, he figures he believes he can do anything that he feels like, as he has done for his entire life, and doesn't feel pressured to fulfill the duties of his office.
