the people who wake up every morning eager to kiss Trump's ass and those who grumble in the cloakrooms about Trump, but then line up 100% behind him whenever it matters.

File this in the same circular file with all those claims that "Mueller has this", then "Garland has this", and then "Smith has this".

If you like the movie Idiocracy, read the (more brutal) short story from 1951, The Marching Morons. It is essentially the same plot, an average guy is transported to the future, “Rip VanWinkle” style. He is awoken, to find that the world is populated (mostly) by morons. There are however, a few more intelligent people who resent him for allowing this to happen:

… Your intelligence was bred out. It is gone. Children that should have been born never were. The just-average, they'll-get-along majority took over the population. The average IQ now is 45.".
