Trump, Epstein, The Wall Street Journal & A Judicial Assignment That Proves Karma Is Alive & Well - Glenn Kirschner

Donald Trump sued the Wall Street Journal in federal court in Southern Florida, perhaps hoping that he would again draw Aileen Cannon as a judge. But he didn't. Rather, the same judge that presided over the lawsuit Trump brought against Michael Cohen - Judge Darrin Gayles - was assigned the Wall Street Journal case.

Judge Gayles has seen the Trump show before . . . in court . . . up close and personal. After suing Cohen for $500 million, Trump abandoned the suit right before he was going to have to testify under oath at a deposition. So it seems like Judge Gayles is quite familiar with Trump's TACO modus operandi. - Glenn Kirschner - 07/21/2025.

Good news, to be sure. Just curious about the process.

to randomly assign judges to cases. This practice aims to ensure impartiality and prevent judge shopping, where litigants might try to choose a judge perceived as favorable." (per Google AI).

For Rupert Murdoch? Trump doesn’t want the truth about his sex life to end his career of starving babies and stripping the elderly of health care.

I would suggest that Aileen Cannon do the right thing and resign, but being the run of the mill conservative she has no idea what the right thing is.

I remember how back in the day that Dick Cheney was one of the most hated on DU - but during the last election he endorsed Kamala Harris, the candidate we were all rooting for - and his Republican daughter, Liz Cheney, went on the road to campaign for her.
