release the Epstein files. The Epstein victims had another press conference on the Capitol steps planned for the next day, October 8th. And lo and behold!!!! Mikey Johnson decides to send the House into another recess. My oh my, nothing surprising here. She had made travel arrangements for her husband and children to attend on the 7th and she was not even personally contacted about the cancellation of her swearing in on the 7th. Meanwhile Thune sent the Senate home rather than working the weekend to try for a shutdown compromise bill. Naturally the fact that the Repubs had a big fancy extravaganza fundraising retreat planned at an island resort off the coast of Georgia had nothing to do with that decision. No matter what: can’t let those Epstein files see the light of day and can’t give up our swanky getaway. F the masses; let them eat cake.
