1. I've seen the fakes. They look like him, but something always seems off to me

I suspect that these are foreigners or Americans that suck at the English language.
That is one thing I noticed, the headlines are badly written with spelling or grammatical errors.
Or sometimes its just something about the mouth movement that look off.
I've found that to be the case for so many AI/Deep Fakes. Even if it is not very obvious like 6 fingers, there is just something that seems unnatural to me.
Also, even though it sounds like Wilson's voice, it lacks his natural cadence. Sounds like he's reading. Not Rick's style.

2. YouTube is absolutely pathetic on this front

There's a creator I've been subscribed to since his early days, and he's worked hard to build his channel from nothing to over 10 million subscribers, and his content is now being stolen by these same kinds of scammers. I've reported it many times and I hope it's doing some good. Another creator I follow (Legal Eagle) had the onus and imposition put on him to stop his content from being stolen by have the itemize the hundreds of videos the crooks were stealing. That's insane, and YouTube has to get better.

I'll do my part to help Rick Wilson. I hope others will too.
