A new federal lawsuit is challenging one of the largest offshore oil leasing moves of the Trump administration. Environmental groups, including the NRDC, have sued to block a planned lease sale covering roughly 80 million acres of the Gulf of Mexico. The lawsuit argues that the administration failed to complete a full environmental review required under the National Environmental Policy Act before moving forward.
