Gov. Walz describes the way forward.

Governor Tim Walz says when Democrats are back in power, people are "not going to expect us to tinker around the edge with the ACA; they're going to expect universal healthcare."

Popular policy has existed for a long while, so why don't Americans have it? We can change that if we put it on the platform and fight for it. Point out why Republicans keep taking money from the insurance lobby etc.

Anything could be socially insured, if underwriters, policies, payouts could adhere to coverage. But not likely to happen. Besides insurance companies are major employers, must adhere to laws and regulation. But we do pay, a lot, for it.

pay out the ass for. To pretend it would be too difficult to do is to swallow the lies the politicians spew. This fucking system does not work. To pretend that America's healthcare is the envy of the world is a fucking lie Spewed by those with too much wealth and not enough compassion.

Move us out of the for profit system, and I don't mean thinly disguised non profits either.

As long as it's in someone's interest to make a profit off of overcharging, denying care, or giving unneeded care, health care will still cost double and triple what it ought to.

A start they could do today that would cost nothing would be transparent pricing, just like in other countries. A set price each hospital charges for typical services. Why can I go online and find the cost of a quadruple bypass in India and Thailand but not in the US?
