Settle down... Nothing is going to happen.

And I don’t say that to dissuade or discourage anyone. Actually, it’s meant to revive you — to give you hope.

Let’s be very clear: Donald Trump is no Hitler, nor does he want to be. He’s no Putin, no matter how much he wishes he could be. Honestly, he’s not even really Donald Trump — he has to lie about everything he does just to maintain the illusion.

When asked if he knew about the Atlantic report, he acted like he knew nothing — even though he knew on the 16th that Mr. Goldberg was in those chats.

And if he didn’t know by the 16th?

Then why hasn’t everyone been fired? That’s his signature move. But they’re not fired — because they all think they can weather the storm. The only thing they’re probably actually pissed about is that they ruined a good photo op.

So — are Trump and the rest of the chumps on their heels yet?

No. Not remotely.

To really move the needle, it’s going to take sustained, focused pressure. What’s coming isn’t a single bombshell — it’s structural. Seniors moving into more reverse mortgages. Companies like Hormel and Sav-A-Lot becoming market movers. The consequences of this administration’s actions aren’t reversible. You can’t unfire everyone. You can’t put that house of cards back together again.

So relax.

You know what’s coming. And honestly, if we stay calm and don’t lose our heads, we can position ourselves to not only catch the fall — but be strong enough to reach out and help even the idiots who caused this nonsense.

No, they wouldn’t help us save their own mother’s life — but that’s why we’re better.

Our democracy hasn’t failed.
