The 2020 election taught me with clarity what we pretty much already knew. People DO NOT have any idea what is going on around them. The country is 1/3 MAGA. So he is a rock solid 33% approval no matter WHAT he does.

But the rest of his approval is likely made up of people who just “heard DOGE is trying to find fraud and that seems like a good idea” but honestly have NO CLUE what they are doing and make no effort to find out.

I keep saying give it six months because the other thing the 2020 election taught me is that the “undecideds “ in the “middle” pay attention to their personal financial wellbeing and that is IT. they need time for the tariffs and pain to filter down to them and while they make zero effort to educate themselves politically, they will notice their bank account balance dropping.
