The real question we should be asking is how in the name of all that is holy is it legal for the U S to deport/send anyone to a foreign prison? The only legal choices are either to deport them to their country of origin after a legal hearing or if they have committed a crime to try them and sentence them to a U S prison and then deport them when they have served their sentence. Sending Venezuelans to a prison in El Salvador is NOT deporting them!

The answer to my question is that what is being done is not in any way legal period.
