Republicans in various states are going into hyperdrive to disenfranchise and gerrymander (between censuses now) in order to "secure" results in the next election.

In a culture in which businesses are only concerned about the profits in the next quarter, and in which public political memory is half the memory of a gnat, Republican election planning stands out.
