3. Agreed. Trump always gets away with

whatever he’s done, but that’s because of one thing: his rabid base scares the hell out of other elected Republicans so they shield him.

But now that base is starting to fracture. And without pro-Trump pressure from the base (in fact, maybe even anger from the base directed at Trump) we’ve perhaps reached the beginning of the end of his grip on the party.

I know we’ve all been hearing “the walls are closing in” and other such proclamations for almost a decade now, but I’m starting to think this might be the one thing he can’t slither his way out of.

(If true, though, that only gets rid of Trump. MAGA still exists. JD Vance still exists. Which sucks.)
