9. Good on the Moms, but why is this a national news story?

They're kids who did stupid kid things. Let the juvenile courts sort it out.

When I was about that age on a school field trip, some of my classmates stole a bunch of presents from a charity box under a Salvation Army Christmas tree. That was in the bluest possible area of the bluest possible state and all of them were suspended from school for a month, had to do probation and then grew up to become more or less functional members of society in part because their faces weren't splattered all over the national news.

Tween lack of impulse control is a thing as is the need to protect the privacy of juvenile offenders. I can't believe they're allowed to show their full faces on that last link.

And for people piling on this as a chance to trash Florida, the Moms who did the right thing are clearly Florida residents as well.
