16. I think if he said "She was nowhere near me and I was never in danger" he'd immediately be out of a job

"Conventional wisdom" sometimes makes the mistake of giving people the benefit of doubt when something like this happens, sort of "He'll have to live with that woman's death on his conscience for the rest of his life," but what do we know? He could be as bad as Trump, maybe worse. After all, it takes a certain kind of person to apply for those "jobs" in the first place. The guy could be ramming down a cheeseburger and fries right now, for all we know.
