9. I think this started with my daughter-law's father

On Christmas night after we'd all eaten, he came out and plopped on the sofa wearing his winter coat and a woolen cap. He said he was freezing and complained that the house was always too damn cold. Which is true. I always take a sweater when we visit.

Three days later, my son and I were feeling it--chills, fever, then chills again with our noses turning into faucets.

I called a friend of mine over in Jersey and she had just started with it. She sounded horrible, could barely talk, and then recited a list of sick people in her area.

It's definitely out there. Nasty.

Btw, my husband and I received our Covid booster and flu shot at the same time.

Worked for him. Not so much with me
