Ideally filming front and rear with sound, preferably locking and uploading incidents automatically to your phone/cloud. They can simply be attached to your windshield via suction cup and plugged into a USB or cig lighter.

Quality ones can be found for well under $100.

It may not just be for your protection, but also those around you.
