How in the name of all that is right and holy have you refuted anything?

The JCOS have, reportedly, said, "That would be illegal."

Are you asserting that all that has preceded this is legal? That the killings of people in small boats are legal because--what?--the JCOS didn't declare them illegal?

Perhaps you are not old enough to remember such events as Colin Powell shaking little test tubes at the United Nations.

The fact that some pushback happens in no wise guarantees, or even really indicates, what will happen in the future.

It is charming that you believe that all is well, children.

And that you are terribly certain of that position.

Tell me this: Where is the long list I'm sure you have at hand of the U.S. Military defying the orders of any president?

You really think that when Pam Bondi or whatever underling issues the current equivalent of the Torture Memo, the military is going to say, "Nope. Won't do it."

I believe that position, if it is in fact yours, is poignantly naive.

But really. When you chide other people for stating things you find to be inaccurate, and then dodge your own utter hyperbole with **sigh**, it causes a person to wonder whether you are actually applying your own rules to yourself.
