They can't do all the things you claim without a trial. And in this case, since the states are involved, I don't think it would be a tax court trial.

The SCOTUS can't ever claim "states rights" again for US passed legislation ( or court decisions ) if they are selective on how they impose federal law.

At the very least it will expose the hypocrisy on the right.
