For the cities selected to host events, if there's a withdrawal or significant change (think old school Olympic boycott), the cities that long-planned for the events will not reap their 'superbowl' type financial reward.

This is a lever the World has against the U.S. and if our 'elected' national leadership continues to do stupid shit on the world stage and feign the human rights that we once championed to the rest of the world, U.S. will have 'fafo'd'
